Just near the Louisiana and Mississippi state line, and south of the community of Carriere, is the community of  Picayune. While in Picayune, visit Mississippi State’s Crosby Arboretum whose mission is to preserve, protect, and display plants native to the Pearl River Drainage Basin ecosystem.
